Overview

Pop-up Boulevard is an innovative start-up based in Cologne, with a sustainable vision to maximize the use of unused business spaces. Recognizing that many business venues like restaurants, cafes, offices, and shops often have periods of inactivity, our concept is to make these spaces available for temporary use by other businesses. To facilitate this, I have designed a MVP from scratch, divided into two distinct sections, catering to both location owners and those seeking temporary pop-up spaces. The design was based on an earlier discovery phase during which we gathered many insights about user jobs and user needs, aiming to convert them into an optimal solution.

Features for location owners

Easy upload and presentation

Location owners have a streamlined process to list multiple properties. This feature allows them to provide details about their spaces, showcasing how they can be utilized effectively during their off-hours.

A key feature for owners is the calendar function, allowing them to manage available time slots for their spaces. This tool enables them to clearly define when their venue is available for pop-ups.

Owners can view and manage upcoming bookings conveniently, ensuring they stay organized and informed about the use of their spaces.

Owners can examine the profiles and ratings of potential renters to ensure their space is respected. They can also initiate conversations with renters to address any queries.

Renters can browse a comprehensive list of available locations throughout Cologne. The app offers different categories right on the start page, along with the option to search through all listings and refine results using various filters.

Detailed information and communication

Each location comes with detailed information, images, and other relevant details. Renters can also contact hosts directly to clarify any queries or specific requirements.

Booking and payment

Renters can book their chosen space directly through the app and complete their transactions securely. The platform provides a process for managing all bookings, payments, and communication with hosts.

Bookmarking favorites

Users have the option to save their favorite locations, making it easier to compare and decide on the best fit for their needs.
